Creative Team Boys Cards

Creative Team Boys Cards

By Creative Team member Linda Drynan

You Nailed It!

Supplies:

Avery Elle “Stoked” stamp set AE1606 and matching die set

Instructions:

On your non stick Teflon sheet, apply a little vintage photo distress oxide ink and lightly spritz with water.  Dab a piece of white smooth card stock measuring 6 x 4 inches (15 x 10 cm) into the ink randomly. Clean your sheet and dry card stock with heat gun.  Then repeat this process with each of the following colours - aged mahogany, broken china, fossilised amber, wild honey.

Once you are happy with your coverage, dry card well.  Trim the card to measure 3 ¾ x 5 1/2 inches (9.5 x 13.5 cm) keeping the longer piece to use later!!  Then, using a finger dauber, edge the card with Distress ink pad vintage photo.  With the stencil included in the Dylusions brick work stamp, and the finger dauber, apply some vintage photo through the stencil to give random brink wall markings on the card.  With the large star stamp in the Avery Elle Skatebord stamp set, and using the clear VersaMark stamp pad, stamp and emboss with the Verdigris Opaque embossing powder from Stampendous.
Matt this piece onto a piece of black card stock slightly bigger than original piece. Then adhere to the front of a piece of folded A5 smooth white card stock.
Cut a piece of black card stock ¾ x 5 ½ inches (2 x 14 cm), attach the piece you cut from the original starting piece of distress background and trim to length. Then cut a piece of blue card stock ¼ x 5 ½ inches (1/2 x 13.5 cm) and matt again on top as shown in picture.

Using jet black Archival stamp pad, stamp out the skateboarder and words from the Avery Elle stamp set. Colour the image using ink from the distress oxide stamp pads as this ties the colours all together.  Apply a small amount of each oxide pad to your Teflon sheet.  Using an your water brush, pick up the colour and paint the image.  Candied apple was used for the skateboard. Cut out skateboarder with matching die and foam mount to card.  Trim words to appropriate size and mount onto blue card stock then attach using foam mount.
