Start by covering with glue and applying the Ultra Fine Glitter Laser Red to one of the chipboard hearts tap off excess and set aside to dry (leaving the other two raw).

(NB: Nesting dies No.1 being the smallest)
Attach some 100mm x 20mm Double Sided Tape to the back of the A5 Bronze Glitter card and die cut the No.5 & No.4 Decorative Heart Dies, to make the frame (due to thickness a shim may be needed) keeping the insert heart for later.

Using the No.5 Heart die only, die cut your photo to match the above frame.

Peel off the backing paper and carefully line up the frame over the matching photo.

Cut the Amour - Roses are Red paper to 11¾” x 11¾” distress the edges and attach to the 12” x 12” Black Cardstock base leaving an even border. Cut the Words of Love- Hearts paper to 6” x 12” distress the edges and attach across the centre of the base page.

Die cut two of the lace borders from the A4 Grapefruit cardstock.

Adhere the two lace borders above and below the centre panel.

Attach the main photo to the left side of the page.

Cut the JE T AIME Journaling Card from the Carta Bella Journaling Cards Paper, distress the edges then mat on to a piece of the Grapefruit cardstock also distressing the edges and attach to the right side of the main photo.

Attach the heart photo frame above the Journal Card.

Peel off the backing paper of the Bronze Glitter heart insert and attach to the bottom of the main photo.

Choose a mix of seven flowers and four leaves from the Little Birdie Flower packs- Renae Blush and Renae Cherry.

Adhere three flowers and two leaves to the bottom of the main photo, two flowers and one leaf to the bottom of the heart photo frame and two flowers with one leaf to the bottom right side over the lacy border.

Creative Team - Honey Bee Card

Creative Team - Honey Bee Card

By Creative Team Member - Dani Choate

Supplies:

Crafts4U Stacked Hearts Die - 70031
Crafts4U Honeycomb Chickenwire die - 10191
Crafts4U Stitched Rectangle - 70002  - or - Simply Dies - StitchedRectangle Die - SDHX0048
Crafts4U Embossong folder - words - 30046
Orange lightweight card
Yellow lightweight card
White lightweight card
Crafts4U glitter card in champagne
Crafts4U Double sided tape
Crafts4U Double sided tape - aka 'toilet roll'
Crafts4U Foam tape
Crafts4U Paper Trimmer
Crafts4U Mini Scoring board
Tombow Mono liquid glue

Instructions:

Cut & fold the white lightweight card using your Crafts 4U paper cutter and scoring board.
This will be your 6" x 4" card base

Using the largest rectangular die, cut a rectangle of white card and emboss it using the Crafts 4U words embossing folder
Mount onto the card base using double sided tape
Using the largest outer die from the Stacked Hearts die set. Cut a solid white heart from white cardstock

By hand, carefully cut a slightly larger solid heart from orange cardstock

Mount the orange solid heart onto the embossed background using foam tape
Mount the white solid heart onto the orange heart using double sided tape

Using the 'toilet roll' double sided tape, tape the reverse side of another piece of white card
Cut this taped card using the Crafts 4U honeycomb die. Once cut, immediately cut again with the largest outer die from the stacked heart set aswell. This should leave you with a honeycomb heart that has peelable double sided tape on the reverse.

Peel off the tape and mount onto the white solid heart

Cut two more honeycomb dies. One from yellow card and one from orange card. We will be using the tiny hexagons from the die in a couple of steps

Now use the outer two dies from the stacked heart set and cut a heart 'ring' out of champagne glitter card. Do the exact same thing again... however, the second time use the 3rd & 4th largest outer hearts - this will give you a smaller heart 'ring'
Glue the two heart 'rings' to the white honeycomb heart upper layer but only at the dimple and the bottom point of the heart so that the curves of the hearts can be lifted up and stand above the white honeycomb layer

Now using the small hexagons... mount with tiny pieces of foam tape. Randomly place within the open hexagons on the white honeycomb layer
Fussy cut some bees from scrapbooking paper. I have used 'Harmonious Honeybee' paper from the Nature Sketchbook Collection by GRAPHIC 45. Attach as if flying on the heart 'rings'

Choose a sentiment and attach as a flag from the lower right of the heart cluster

Dylusions Square Journal
Tombow Mono liquid glue
PinkFresh - white card with black paint splatter - A Case of the Blahs 'Messy'
Bella Carta - tiny dot yellow card
Bella Carta tiny dot red card
Sewing Machine & black thread
2" x 2" photo

Instructions:

- Start with a blank double page of your Dylusions journal
- Using a small smooth plastic bag, sponge some Distress Oxide Raspberry directly onto the plastic and mix with water. Stamp randomly onto your journal page keeping a somewhat linear approach to the page with colour in the middle third of the page lengthwise.
- Sponge the Distress Oxide Wild Honey in the same way but stamp a little more randomly so that some of the yellow shows a little more above and below the Raspberry colour
- Using the Cadence mini heart stencil, stencil the Shabby Chic Relief Paste in baby pink, again stay roughly within the middle third of the page with some random lines extending above the colour and some below the colour. You will need to wait for the paste to dry between applications as you move across the page (or dry with heat tool)
- Splatter some random drops of acrylic spray in light blue and green
- Splatter (rather than spray) the liquid gilt onto the page randomly as well
- With the Crafts 4U Stacked Heart Die, cut three different sized solid hearts - one in yellow dot, one in purple dot and one in red dot. Also cut three of the corresponding sized hearts into 'rings' out of lilac glitter card

- Mount the three solid hearts across the left hand side page with foam tape. Then attach the glitter 'rings' to the solid hearts according to size. Only attach with glue at the dimple of the heart and at the bottom point of the heart so that the curves of the heart can be pushed up and curve above the solid hearts
- Cut a separate large heart out of the PinkFresh card that has the black splatter (this paper can also be made easily if you cannot find PinkFresh). Sew a rough black thread outline around the heart and heavily distress the edges

- Attach the heart to the right hand page with glue.
- Create a cluster of squares in the same papers as the solid hearts. Arrange them off centred, behind your 2inch square photo. Mount using foam tape to pop up the photo and attach the entire cluster to the page with double sided tape

- Mount a sentiment sticker (I have used 'My Heart is Full') directly underneath the photo cluster with foam tape and then adhere the wood veneer title (happy) both to the photo cluster and to the sentiment sticker
- Using matte medium, adhere some of Dina Wakley tissue hearts (large and small) to the page. The right hand side heart has been mounted on the purple dot paper first and them popped up with foam tape, for interest.

- Add some colourful sticker hearts (or indeed, just use some pencil or markers to add some colourful hearts to your page randomly)
- Using matte medium again, adhere some inspirational words under your sentiment. I have used Dina Wakley tissue words here
- Now for the flowers. I have used every colour of Little Birdie flowers I could find and have roughly created a wavy line that follows the wave of the hearts placed on the left hand side page. I have glued some flowers UNDER the hearts, some ON the edges and AROUND the hearts and other have been glued onto the heart 'rings' so they float ABOVE the other flowers

This will add a lot of dimension and depth to the page
- Do a similar thing around the base of the photo cluster

- Cut 2 leafy branch dies in white and splatter with the light blue and light green acrylic sprays to give them a little colour. Tuck in and glue to either side of the sentiment sticker
- Now you can see if you are able to close your book :) ... if you like a chunky art journal this page will be PERFECT!!
